This beautiful blooming climber is Pyrostegia venusta, commonly known as the Orange Trumpet Creeper.
With its brilliant orange flowers, the Pyrostegia venusta is ideal for growing over a pergola or a sturdy fence. The higher the support the better, as the flowers can hang down for the best effect.
Originating in Brazil, this plant enjoys a frost free climate and a sunny position. As well as the brilliant floral display, the plant also has interesting foliage, with a twisting climbing tendril replacing on of its three compound leaves. This tendril is the plants climbing mechanism.
